Course Code: QUAL1070
To register for this course, visit the Conestoga College Continuing Education Website.
This Experimental Design (DoE) course shows you how to design experiments statistically. Discussions on hypothesis testing, normal probability plots, full and fractional factorials – including main effects, interactions, and prediction of future observations is covered.
Course Outcomes: Successful completion of this course will enable the student to:
- Describe the need for, and advantages of, experimental design.
- Describe a general recipe for experimentation.
- Design and analyze single factor experiments.
- Design and analyze full and fractional factorial 2 level experiments.
- Describe and use the concepts of randomization and blocking.
Unit Outcomes: Successful completion of the following units:
1.0 Introduction to Experiment Design
- Review the general model of a process or system
- Describe reasons for experimental design
- Discuss factorial experimentation
- Identify a general recipe for experimentation
2.0 Experiments With A Single Factor
